I don't find these to be particularly polarizing easily the quadruple, and us beating Chelsea!
Don't get why we'd sacrifice a historic event like a quadruple in favor of some vaguely determined future where that same event would be our goal anyway (and not a very realistic one also).
And winning the Carabao cup means a trophy with the PL still a possibility (honestly does anyone who expects us to win the league see it happening with the help of an Everton win over City ), whereas the Everton win still guarantees nothing for us in the league.

We beat Chelsea, it's not even questionable

Everton City draw would be lovely

Yeah Everton beating City doesn't necessarily mean anything. Beating Chelsea means a trophy. Easy choice.

                  I’d go with ‘B’ all day long….

                  1) it means another tough game for city around the business end of the season, and increases the likelihood of them dropping points in the league around then.

                  2) it also means we avoid chelsea in the semi and have a clear path to the final, where we would hopefully face chelsea…

That said I would very much enjoy seeing Southampton dump city out of the cup, and will prob be annoyed when/if city beat them.

                      A

City will lose to United this weekend and we will have beaten them in the league before the semi's so no need for tough games to make things difficult for them.

Plus it will be fun to shut their gobby fans up sooner.

                          OR…

                          b) Klopp signs a 5 year extension.

                            A) We get Alonso in the summer

                            B) Klopp says he’ll stay 1 more season, but Alonso then goes to Madrid this summer, so next summer he prob won’t be an option and it’ll be back to the drawing board for us…

Because Pep is staying for at least one more season and we just ain't winning the league while he's here. Alonso can use next season to bed in his players/tactics for a nice Paisley-esque run for nine years.
                              One tit for another.
