Nice, solid away result that. Diaz coming on leaps and bounds.

His numbers last season were good though, still those of an elite player, it was the team as a whole whose collective numbers fell off of a cliff at one point mid season.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Satisfying to keep a 2 goal lead against this lot. Diaz goes from strength to strength. Salah's agent may take a break from twitter.

And although it’s harsh on the lad, Lallana coming on for five minutes before getting injured again is pretty funny.

Yeah. Pretty comfortable other than first 5 mins.

Looking like he will finish with more goals than last season, already has more assists than last season. He is out performing his XG and XA stats from the start of this season.

Things like his pass completion rates etc are not dropping, balls won stats are not dropping, distance covered numbers are not dropping. He is scoring at elite levels in a lot of his underlying numbers and some of them are his best since joining us.

Man is showing himself to be one of those freak of nature players whose numbers and underlying numbers do not start to slump after 27 or 28.

Basically he is puting up better numbers across the board than in his previous three seasons with us and some of his numbers are on par with that crazy first season.

Crazy comments. Before AFCON I'm fairly sure he was beating almost every statistic from previous seasons, including the record breaking year. Everyone was saying he was the best player in world football the last time his contract was a hot topic.

He has become a meme - the footballing equivalent of Sean Bean.

Delighted with the result & great to see Diaz on the score sheet again. His performances since he signed have been so much better than the lone goal he’d scored up until today.

Those are two of the worst decisions you will ever see.

It's not just against us, you're right. VAR is showing refs up for not being able to react as fast as the game, which is ironic because you'd think that the implementation of VAR was to help refs in situations where they were lacking.

In his defence, he said he lost balance and didn't dive, and even made it clear to the ref.

Hands up if you thought Mo was gonna miss the pen?

Thought it was a cert with the contract situation, the chances he'd missed and the fact Sanchez shouldn't have been on the pitch to save it.
