Anyone know of anywhere decent to watch in Liverpool at short notice. Initial plans have gone to **** as have plan b and c.

It's a fantastic venue.

It is. It is like a smaller version of the Roundhouse in London for seeing bands in.

Would be a cracking venue to watch a game on a big screen imo.


Another spot to consider Bob if you want to be smack in the middle of the Ropewalks is the Boston Pool Loft on Wood street.

Is basically a bar with lots of games (pool tables, shuffle board tables, pinball machines and what not) but watched a few games there in the past and there was always a good atmosphere and a decent selection of drinks. They never do bookings for big games so is always a walk in first come first served/seated sort of thing.



Being on Wood street it is also within walking distance of anywhere else in the city centre.

Been twice. Most recently last summer. I hope they have got better staff and spent a bit since then as it looked shoddy with ripped chairs and all sorts but when the barman includes Guinness in the list of lagers they have I'm raising an eyebrow

Was great for live games and was a very decent spot to go back then.

This weekend is my first time back in Liverpool since the covid lockdowns so going to be playing a lot by ear with regards to crowds. Staying in a friend's apartment in the Colonades while she goes to Paris so have the Albert Dock to roam around and probably go up to Netherton to see family.

Few faces I want to catch up with in Probe and Defend Vinyl too. And want to get brekkie at Moose and some scouse at Ma Boyles.

Heard a rumour that the city of Liverpool is so excited at me being over that there is some sort of parade being planned for Sunday

It's a fantastic venue.

I was there for the 2019 and it had a cracking atmosphere and view. I tried this year but gave up when I saw it had closed. Must be a one off independant thing for the final

My guess is that they weren't spending money having just come out of lockdown. It was really busy the first time I went but this was also things like pinball machines off and not even sure they had pool available come to think of it so hopefully things being more normal has seem they put a bit of money back in

There are still gigs/events held there on a regular basis.

Yeah. About half a dozen ticket leads ran into dead ends, so yeah. Watching it there will save a frantic search for a bar at least. Should be a good atmos.
