I thought Minamino did more on the ball than Jota. If he can keep finding the net there's no reason why Jota may not find himself being pushed back. That's the sort of competition we need.

I think people are getting a bit carried away with Taki. Great goal last night and a tidy performance, but there’s a reason for him being in the second string. Although vital, 70% of his goals have been in the domestic cups, against relatively poor sides. He got a good PL run with Southampton and he wasn’t very good. Not everyone in a squad can be a word beater and he’s good enough to do what he’s used for, but the idea of him pushing on to compete for first team slots is probably fanciful.

He has a better scoring rate than anyone else in the team. He nay nit be as good, but he certainly performs when selected

Okay, but his is pretty small sample size and the others didn’t get half their goals against Norwich reserves.

As I said, he does the job he’s asked to do, but he’s not going to challenge for Jota’s place. Him being sold is far more likely than that.

I think Taki is a victim to the system that we play. I reckon if it was more of a 4231 with a traditional #9, then he would get a lot more games
