    Exactly. Number 20 would have been great but that will come now that Klopp is sticking around for longer.

    I really want us to be the second best European team though. AC Milan currently sit there alone with 7 CLs but I always felt we deserved it more than them. Let's get 7 so we can focus on 8 too!

        The most frustrating thing today for me is the loss of Thiago for the CL final. While we had a shot at the title it was always a long shot, as they say it's the hope that kills you. I started the day thinking it wasn't going to happen, but when Villa were 2-0 up I thought it was on, only to have the hope crushed

        I guess that is all part and parcel of being a football fan and being in contention for trophies, some you win some you lose. Let's hope the lads pick themselves up and win the CL and make this a truly great season.
        The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

          Utterly deflating final game of the season. We did what we could do and still ended up not winning it!! The hope that filtered through when Villa were 2 up was incredible, only to be snatched away again! The one trophy that I’d had swapped for the other two!

          Onto next year!

              We should have beaten Spurs, oh well glad I didn't get up at 1am. Instead I feel rested and ready for the week. At least City's spawny goal scorer Gündoğan is off this summer.

              I'm going camping next weekend and the place will have no mobile reception so I'll be watching the CL Final when I get home on Sunday.

                  One of my mates is a die hard scum fan and has somewhat expectedly, yet with no hint or irony or self awareness; sent me a ****load of memes and whatnot taking the piss out of us not winning 4 trophies

                  I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"

                          I’ve been getting the same. They must have so much relief that we didn’t do the quadruple and stop them from talking bout that treble from 23 years ago.

                          Sickening the way it happened today, but would rather having the disappointment than for my club to be irrelevant to the extent where I’m not even bothered with the results anymore. Imagine they get to a place where they lose today, city, their local rival wins the league, and they’re dishing out a slagging! If I ever celebrate Everton winning the league, I think I’ll give up soccer!

                              The irony is that they always accused us of living in the past.

                              At least they have a chance of silverware next year as they are in the Europa League
