He was fine. If our biggest complaint about his performance was his distribution, then he must have done OK.

He appeared to have 2 hands on the ball when Foden tackled him for their goal too.

I'm not sure he was trying to hold onto it, he hardly held on to anything when making those types of saves. For me there probably isn't enough time between Adrian getting hands to the ball and Foden getting there to say Adrian had control of the ball, I think to be fair the ball was still there to be won. If there was time where you could see that Adrian had the ball still then that is a different matter, but I don't think we can complain about that one.

For me Adrian had a decent game, I can live with his poor distribution if he isn't making other mistakes. As hinted at above the bigger worry for me was that he wasn't really keeping hold of anything even the simple saves were pushed out back into play rather than smothered. But he's our 3rd choice keeper, he only conceded one to City and we won so I'm happy.

Adrian has the ball on the ground with both hands on top of it. He’s definitely not trying to parry it or scoop back towards the box from there. That’s not to say it couldn’t have squirmed or bounced away without Foden challenging him. But we also don’t know that he didn’t have had it under control either.

I’m fine with it, there wasn’t an obvious mistake from the ref and it didn’t cost us anyway. I hope there’ll be consistency with these types of decisions though, as usually almost baby type of challenge on the keeper gets penalised.
