Ya we’ve seen this game too many times recently - without Thiago we’ve no link to the attack. Trent is so good but he infuriates me, Robbo seems to have run out of steam and Henderson waddles around mis controlling and passing backwards.
This is on the back room team for me - we might go on and win but we are papering over cracks in midfield. Everyone buying players as this is the most intense season in history - we played every game last season and bar Núñez we essentially roll the same lads out again one year older
Might tighten FSG to not have the CL dripping into the club next year. Forget money though, some of these players have fallen off a cliff, Trent, Salah, Virgil, Fabinho, Hendo (well he was half way down it)
Every time we make even a small error teams seem to score against us. For all our pressure at the end of the first half Newcastle had the two best chances and scored from one of them. I still don't know why Van Dijk went on his walkabout for that goal, Henderson clearly didn't know what his role was either.
At the other end we don't seem to be able to attack with real pace any more, misplaced passes all over the place, understanding between the players well off. Mo can't seem to beat a man at the moment either. I know Elliott had some praise here but he can't seem to run, he has to keep checking back which allows defenders to get into position. Can't fault his effort but can you have an attacking midfielder that slow these days?
I'm starting to think that putting players on long terms contracts with big pay rises isn't always conducive to them trying that hard for a while. In all honesty, the way we play sometimes looks very lackadaisical. Very disappointing in terms of quality of play.
Can we loan Jordan Henderson to Sunderland please?
No. LFC will cease to exist if "Hendo" leaves; who else will 'control the game', "impose his personality' on proceedings and is 'great to have around the place'? Just wait until we play Bournemouth again - you'll see the importance of "Hendo".

He is quite slow and he hasn’t managed to dribble passed a player successfully in this game that I’ve noticed. Can’t really expect much more of him at his age tbh.
And play Carvalho ffs!

See how far up Newcastle are pressing us here. We don't press anything like that any more. We used to have a problem with teams parking the bus but Newcastle are meeting fire with fire here.
