Three observations in that half:
1) We need to play some ****ing football and not get dragged into a scrap like them
2) Do the simple things quicker and more urgently
3) Salah’s been absolute ****e

Our whole forward line has been dysfunctional this year. It's not just the attacking, it's the pressing as a unit which has gone to pot. Sadio missed a few but even when he was going through his roughest periods he pressed like an absolute monster. The lack of pressure up front seems to be going all the way to the back line who aren't really used to working this hard!

It's another slow start from us, just not clicking. Elliot and Mo just haven't clicked yet. It's a weird one maybe too similar? Sames runs, same spaces kinda thing

Yeah, I don't think Carvalho fix for midfield worked at all.

Couple of tweaks at half time needed.

Carvalho looked to be limping for the last 5 mins or so of the half, I would be surprised if he comes out for 2nd half.

He probably deserved a start after his recent cameos but I didn't think this was the game to do it in to be honest, I think he would have been better as an impact sub.

If we don’t press from the front, they’re half way to our goal every counter attack… which puts us massively on the back foot.

Don’t understand why this has changed. Salah looks absolutely useless so far wide and this needs Bobby to link the midfield better…

Not the game for Harvey and Fabio, missing Hendo and Thiago’s experience and Thiago’s vision/creativity.

Something needs to change second half, we’ve barely played any ‘football’ that half… so, so scrappy and stop/start. Games like this benefit the opposition when they’re more aggressive in the tackle and time wasting. Ref’s too ****ing lenient.

I know some gave Mane some stick about missed chances and falling over, but he was one of the leaders of the press and I think we are missing that this season.
