    There was official guidance though. No obligation to postpone at any point in the period of mourning, with the suggestion that events on the day of the funeral may be postponed as a mark of respect.

    Loads of other sports have gone ahead too, Rugby, Test Match, Great North Run.

    The fear of booing is the only thing that probably holds up there.

              But it isn’t a fact that there was no guidance. It was being shared online before the meeting. It’s also true that plenty of other sports were going ahead.

              I’m not sure what part of those were bang on, but I don’t know what headlines you’re referring to.
