Tbh I reckon booing the national anthem and booing a minute's silence are quite different. I would always jeer the anthem but I'd never boo or disrupt a minute's silence. I'm probably in a minority, but this is going to be a disaster and it'll cause uproar. I'm glad I'm not going.

i've seen some of the hillsborough families asking for the minute silence to be respected to stop the inevitable backlash against them afterwards.

difficult to see any opposition fan respecting a Hillsborough silence in future as well.

The whole thing is grim especially in the social media age.

I'd love an impeccable silence to shut them all up.

Yeah I don't think it will be silent unfortunately. The media will lap it up if there is even a hint of dissent. They probably already have their headlines written and ready to go.

Like almost everyone from Liverpool I'm anti-monarchy but it is still clear people should honour it. It's that simple.

I'm sure nearly everyone will by the way, but all it takes is a couple of noisy idiots. I really wish they would do a minute's applause in these scenarios as it least it gives people a chance to drown the idiots out a bit.

He's not been playing well so perhaps not a big miss in isolation, but it's the bigger picture isn't it. Why do we pick up so many injuries, all the ****ing time?

Our game intensity. I reckon in training we don’t train as hard when the season is on, but it undoubtedly has an effect.

Also, there is simply too many games at this level. Some competitions should be phased ou (league cup for example). Stupid nations league at international level including other pointless friendly games, where players have to travel in a short space of time. Doesn’t help.

Klopp has rung the alarm bell but no one bothers. At least there is the 5 subs rule now, but it’s still a small matter compared to the bigger picture.

Yep.

The same jeering has gone on for decades during the minutes silences for Hillsborough.

The same vile chants about Hillsborough and Heysel week in and week out for decades now.

The same lack of any stomach by authorities and media to help stamp it out.


But some Liverpool fans boo during the national anthem before a final?? Oh now THAT is the real issue.


And for what it is worth. When there is to be a minutes silence for the queen, I fully believe that the Liverpool supporters in the ground will respect it in full.
