Yeah I realised that and deleted my post at the same time you replied. It looked like you were saying it was offside because it came off the defender.

For example, in that first half we were generally woeful and why should we not say it? No one is moaning in the second half are they? And there has been lots of praise for the goals and the assists.

The outrage from former players over the VAR decision is ****ing comical; it's a clear cut offside decision when the key angle is viewed. Just because dickheads like Rio Ferdinand have thought for the past 30 years that if the ball travels backwards a player is automatically onside is no reason to award a goal; this knob and the knobs like him should be saying something like: "Oh dear, what a tit I am for not knowing the rules of the game I get paid to be painfully inarticulate about".

Spurs were not complaining when Sterling's goal vs. the Blue Manc's got VAR'd out of existence in the CL quarter final a couple of years ago in added time, and that decision had bigger ramifications than the one last night as it led to Spurs going through to the semi, while now they still have a chance to progress to the knock-out stages despite the setback. They weren't crying about the "atmosphere being sucked out of the stadium because we had to wait a few minutes" or "football is all about entertainment which VAR is ruining" or "blah, blah, ****ing blah".

The problemo with VAR is the unfathomable decisions like Gabriel's handball not leading to a spot-kick, not in the main, offside decisions.
