I was going to say 99th percentile of what?

      Scotsmen in Middlesborough?

But it looks like its that league, which is pretty impressive. He should only get better as he adjusts.
In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

Only BeIn sports covers it here unfortunately. I refuse to pay for any more subscriptions
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Ben Doak goes charging up the field for Middlesbrough and it ends with a shot being blocked.
The Scotsman has two team mates to his right but he elects to go for goal.
Hope he makes amends as it’s 1-1 at present

Was that the missed chance the Beeb reported & I posted about? As I didn’t see who the 2 players in a better position were?

                Exactly what I was wondering.

No way Mo Salah is passing to anyone with such a good chance himself.

The one in the video was in the first half. The other one as in the second half on a counter attack, he went down the left wing and had a shot with his right foot.

Watching some of his games his teammates don’t help him, gets in to good positions to pass or receive the ball and they mess it up. He had a little hissy fit last night late in the game when someone messed up a great attacking opportunity, overreacted but he had been racked down the shoulder with a high but a few minutes earlier and the ref said play on.

While Middlesbrough didn’t do much in that game his work rate and defensive efforts were very good. Happy to get back and get stuck in, was in the right place to stop attacks. Good to see.

Maybe he'll be the next Harvey Elliott who had a very successful spell at Blackburn and returned a much better player.

Agree. Tyler Moreton & Conner Bradley also had successful loans & both came back better players. Owen Beck is another doing well on loan this season.

Certainly puts to bed the idea that none of our players establish themselves after loan moves.

It’s probably true in general for older players that go out though

I think it's about getting player out on loan at an appropriate age, I think historically we have waited a bit too long with some, Doak and Bradley went out on loan at 18, I think a few other in the past were more like 20. Obviously it's also about the right team/environment and level to get regular games, I think we were getting that badly wrong for a while, seem to have improved that more recently
