I honestly don't care about this match, I just want to see us try something different.

Same, would love to see players with energy, Bajcetic, Ramsay have to start and if they play well they need more minutes in the next games.Originally posted by danperkins View PostI honestly don't care about this match, I just want to see us try something different.* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

I know this comes up from time to time and usually gets shot down, but what about trying TAA in midfield? Our current midfield options aren't working great
*ducks for cover*The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I don't know if it's a free hit? A free hit for me is when it doesn't matter if you lose. If we were in good form I'd say this is a free hit.Originally posted by SB View PostI totally agree. It’s a free hit
We REALLY need a win right now, even if it's in the FA Cup.
I'm totally fine with us making changes as the side we are putting out right now is failing miserably, but I still think we badly need the win tonight one way or another. We have to try to find some kind of momentum and positivity soon or we are in big trouble.

On that reasoning, why not try Ali in midfield?Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostI know this comes up from time to time and usually gets shot down, but what about trying TAA in midfield? Our current midfield options aren't working great

We need a midfield that functions defensively; why would putting a defender who is currenty not functioning defensively into midfield help?

I was thinking that against Brighton. Nothing to lose at this point. He is not effective in his current role. He has youth and quality missing from the midfield.Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostI know this comes up from time to time and usually gets shot down, but what about trying TAA in midfield? *ducks for cover*In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

I hear what you’re saying & I mean a free hit in the sense that I’d rather us try it here than the league. We’ve got to give everything to try to make top 4 so if we are going to give TAA a chance in midfield I’d rather it was tomorrow than a league match.Originally posted by Pablo View PostI don't know if it's a free hit? He thrives on getting forward and is encouraged in our system to do that. Unfortunately what that means you leave gaps behind and get caught high up. Elliot & Henderson have already failed miserably at this job multiple times. I don't rate Trent as a defender but it does not help his situation when the person in front of him that is meant to be covering him when he does go forward simply isn't capable of doing their job & we constantly get caught on the break. That Gini type player does not exist in our squad any more.Originally posted by Paul12 View PostOn that reasoning, why not try Ali in midfield?

That isn't to excuse his utter laziness this season & I would consider myself one of his biggest critics but getting him away from the defence imo is a good thing. Regardless of his form or attitude, he still has one of the best strikes of a ball out there, so imo it would be good to utilize that in this particular game. I would be interested to see him playing that KDB role where he can pick out passes and crosses & at least have someone with pace like Gomez (I know) to cover behind him & maybe even overlapping. I would say Ramsey but I don't think I even know what he looks like & if Klopp is going to play one of the kids, imo it might be Bajcetic in midfield. More than likely Keita will start, it would be nice for him to actually do something for the club before ****ing off in the summer.
Personnel wise, we are ****ed and I don't think we'll see Klopp use Trent like this ever but something has to be changed. He'll probably just get benched.
