I heard someone say that one thing missing from Klopp's armoury is pragmatism. There's no plan b. When his system works, amazing. When it malfunctions, chaos. Very brave owners would call it now and go after someone less beholden to one, albeit brilliant, idea. Ancellotti..?Originally posted by Kenneth View PostI do too. Ancelloti? No thank you even if he did want to leave Real Madrid for us.
Not a chance I would replace Klopp at the moment. There is a long line of players who should be moved on long before Klopp.
Even if Klopp walked in the morning I would struggle to think of a manager that could do a lot better than mid table to upper midtable with the players we currently have.
For me this is Klopp's Liverpool version of his final season with Dortmund (though nowhere close to being as bad as the first half of his final Dortmund season). The difference being that I think/hope that come the end of this season he is going to fancy trying to put things right and rebuild and not walk like he did at Dortmund.
If he does walk, then the list of guys to potentially replace him is going to be a mixed one as far as who supporters might want.
I think a lot might want a big name with a track record like Ancelloti or if we wanted to go big budget dogs of war then a Simeone type.
Some might want a has been like Mourinho or a never was like Pochettino
Or we could well end up with Thomas Franks or Thomas Tuchel.
Me if worst came to the worst and Klopp walked, I would prefer someone like Franks, though I could see the logic of someone like Tuchel as he is a good coach even though I think he is a prick.
Marco Rose I like how he set up his Dortmund team and how he is setting RB Leipzig up currently. Be a gamble but do like how he sets up a team and how is willing to move away from his favoured styles of playing when he is missing players. Very much a make the system suit the available players type guy than stick with a system no matter what guy.
Guys like De Zerbi or Luciano Spalletti (if we wanted to get a more seasoned gent with a good track record at a few clubs in succession) are not doing their reps any harm this season either.
But Klopp staying will be my hope even if the rest of this season continues in the same vein.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

With the recent upheaval behind the scenes in the recruitment dept, a perceived loosening of the purse strings may not be the panacea some people believe it would be.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostI do too. It’s his first bad season here as a manager right? Or do we also include the season after the league title when we lost our back line and had to rejig in a similar manner to what we’re doing now?
We need to learn to accept that we’re a bit **** sometimes to come back even stronger. Are we winning?

Yeah, it was a red, I think he was surprised he stayed on the pitch, I thought there were a few dodgy challenges from our guys today.Originally posted by Buzzo View PostYeah was lucky to not get a red.
One of the worst cameos of all time. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

The whole ****ing team need to do more.Originally posted by Rich View PostGakpo hasn’t been excellent at all. A few nice touches etc but he needs to do more tbh.
Don't get this obsession on this ****ing site (and society in general) with picking on players that have been here for all of 10 minutes expecting the pricks to smash in goal after goal straight off the bat. ****ing tiresome tbh
He's had a slow start here, no doubt, but the team is disjointed, and running on zero confidence. Gakpo's learning a whole new system, coming from a vastly inferior league and been thrown in the deep-end because our **** physios cant keep anyone fit for more than 10 games.
Thought he created a few good moments during the game. Couple of nice runs after turning his defender and launched attacks, he also broke up their play quite a few times. Promising signs IMO. Would like to see what he's like with Diaz and Nunez next to him, rather than a dog**** version of Salah and the Red dwarf.
I think its pretty obvious how they're trying to play him too. Not sure why people are saying he looks lost. He's playing the Firmino role, dropping deep breaking up play and springing counter attacks."When a man insults my country I insult him, by taking his woman" Tony Yeboah
"looking through your posts since 2007 and what you have consistently written about my football team I have come to the conclusion that if you had 1 more brain cell you would be a plant .. your father was a hamster and your mother smells of elder berries, I fart in your general direction ..." Nicey

Also, Joe Gomez is absolutely wank."When a man insults my country I insult him, by taking his woman" Tony Yeboah

I was thinking the same thing. Had a face like he'd just eaten a turd sandwich and then hacks up a lung and spits as he's walking off. Don't like getting hauled off early and replaced with an 100yr old fill in? Maybe cotton on to the fact you've been getting your arse handed to you week in week out all season and try a bit harder??
He's absolutely doing my head in. Gomez too. How you can be built like Gomez and get pushed over by a gentle breeze, and be actually scared of contact beggars belief."When a man insults my country I insult him, by taking his woman" Tony Yeboah

Spot on - he's been here ten minutes and is playing with Salah's **** cousin, Darwin's unpredictability, no midfield structure and a whole bunch of new team mates who are absolutely knackered.
Salah and Fabinho might as well be sat in the injury room with Jota, Diaz, VVD and Bobby for all their recent performances too.
We need more than one midfielder to sort this out. Klopp needs to build a bonfire to burn every copy of 'Intensity' in front of Pep and then tell him to put the cones out for some proper ****ing training sessions...
New owners might come in with cash, but we need to first fix the first team way of playing. Or come up with a new way of playing to suit the players (and the ages) we have. One thing's for sure... we're not getting top four this season, so we might as well use the rest of this season to try some new things out on the training ground and get ready for next season.
The summer transfer window needs to be sorted as soon as it's opened so new players can bed in and players going out the door can **** off asap...
