He is normally one of the worst analysts, one of the worst pundits, one of the worst commentators and always one of the first to absolve any bad decsion that should have gone our way. No, it was given as a free kick to Newcastle. Nothing wrong with stopping the game for head injury protocol, but the majority of the stoppage was for Nunez shoulder injury rather than Trippier who was up very quickly.
Drop ball would still have been wrong as Trippier’s bang on the head was a consequence of the foul he committed..
