No but Valverde is a hard worker who can fill in there if they want him to play in that role rather than his usual one. He is quite dogged when used in that shielding DM role and very mobile.

Camavinga whilst not that sort of player has the energy and physicality to help out and Modric can play in a deeper role is needed so they have options.

Valverde has bring playing as the right wing in a 4-3-3 in big games. It’s not his mentality to sit - same as Camavinga who’s being playing LB for game time recently.

It’s all moot anyway has we’ve no runners from midfield and our current iteration is functional at best
