So, Bournemouth for the early kick-off on Saturday - you'd hope we can wrestle three points from them... and then it's Madrid pt2.

How are we feeling about the second leg:
1) We'll get an early goal, flatter to deceive then get hammered like we did in the first leg
2) A tight affair, few goals and we'll be out with a whimper
3) Brave battle and we win by a couple of goals on the night but it was just too much to claw back
4) OMFG what have we just witnessed and how did we go one better than Barca!?!?!

Why is this 10 times more unlikely? Remember we were missing prime Bobby and Salah (amongst others) against barca. Also if barca scored 1, we would have needed 5, but now we need to beat them by 3 regardless to take it to extra time.

It’s a long shot, but I think it’s closer to 1 in 10 than 1 in 100.

The next goal in the tie is crucial - if we get it, then we have a good chance of turning it around. If it goes their way, then it’s over. A half like the majority of the first half of the first leg… and we’d be right back in it.

I can’t help but think a strong ref is vital to any chance of us getting through. If they are allowed to run the clock down and play at the dark arts, we will have little chance. The problem is, they do tend to get pretty favourable treatment at home in Europe.

I read that only 8 times in the history of the European Cup and CL has a side lost the first leg at home and gone through, which is a remarkable stat.

Only once in the CL era has a side gone into an away leg with a 2 goal deficit and gone through, no one has ever done it 3 goals down. It's a massive ask
