    Lack of competition for places.

Now, what is the root cause of that do we think?

They're 9 points off Barca, let's not go overboard and this Real side.

We're just pretty **** at the moment though, but the lack of fight is the biggest concern.

Haven't we something like 6 or 7 players' contracts up in summer 2023? That's before we even start thinking about Gomez et al.

Fabinho and Trent had a private contest to see who could overhit the most passes. It was a tight call

Fingers crossed the players are Keira, Ox, Phillips, Jones, Milner, Hendo and Jota… or at least some of them

…maybe they were playing with that 99p football from the local garage.

As much as I hate Real Madrid, they have to win it to stop Citeh taking their first UCL trophy…

                    Yep

                    Not getting into the latter

I think you got four of them. And I think one of them is getting a new contract. I guess my point is we need a lot of signings - or usable youth - before we even start thinking about selling underperformers. Squad has been mismanaged quite badly I think.

So overall, apart from 15 minutes in this tie, we never looked deserving of going through. I really dislike RM. Good night.

And we’re 24 points off Arsenal. Real don’t lose CL games at home. In a season when we’ve lost to Bournemouth, leeds and Nottingham forest, it was a massive ask, but keeping a lead at home should have been doable.

Mainly players who have been on the periphery. I would view that as attrition rather than the squad being carved up because players aren't up to it/performing, as you intimated. How those savings translate into new high calibre first team players is anybody's guess.

Well, on a brighter note, the final of the piano was decent and Lucy is a revalation, real tear jerking stuff.

In the back of my mind I thought we'd put in such a limp-dicked effort against bottom of the table Bournemouth and completely ****ed our chance to nail a top 4 spot with this game in mind. Saving our legs to go absolutely full throttle at them.

But alas, we put in an even more limp-dicked effort and went out of the CL with barely a whimper. Absolutely pathetic showing tbh.

Trent and Robbo at their absolute brain-dead worst all game. The pair of them can get to **** with that ****. Long ball after long ball to our midgets up front. Its the sign of a side that doesn't have a ****ing clue on what they're supposed to be doing.

That midfield was a joke. Fab and Milner are going to create the square root of absolute **** all. Didn't have much choice to be fair, but it just shows how ****e our recruitment has been in midfield. Don't know why we'd shoehorn Jota/Gakpo into some weird slot when Elliot and Keita are there ready to go. Keita has clearly been bombed out the side now, doubt we see him again.

I'd love to see Salah pick up an injury now. Just to see how we play when players don't feel like they have to pass to him all the time. He create nothing, he loses the ball constantly and when he does manage to get past someone he mostly cocks up the pass. He's still going to score his little tap ins, but peak Mo is gone. Big offer comes in from PSG you have to shift him on that stupid contract.

Cant wait for this season to end now. Sick of the lot of these players
