The only hope out of a pasting here and then likely at Chelsea is that Klopp will finally, finally, drop his favourites. I know he has little to work with but he has enough to not excuse him of his part in all of this. And it's the largest part.
We have had a horrendous run of injuries this season so he's had very little option for most of it. He has tried at times, like when he brought Bajcetic into the midfield only for him to get a season-ending injury.
Minimum expectation is 100% effort and most of these don’t look interested in even doing that…
Is why I like watching players like Darwin, Thiago, Konate, Milner, Allison, Diaz etc.
Even when they are having a bad game, they seem to keep dusting themselves down to go again and again to try and force things to go their way.
Have a respect for individuals with that attitude. You fight until hit a brick wall, then you find a way to get up and go a bit more. If you then come up short you at least you know you gave everything and that it was not your time on that day anyway.
Too many of the current senior players just shrivel once adversity hits.
The likes of Elliot I give a pass to as he is a youngster that the senior players should be setting an example for and also because he is not a force of nature physical beast type player so he needs strength and running around him so he can add some finesse to the play.
We are in some sort of twilight zone at the moment imo. You can look at our squad and say the squad is only five or six players away (not all starters of course) from being a top tier one, or you could look at the same squad as say it needs a massive overhaul in terms of personnel and mentality
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

It feels more like a transition season, it’s a root and branch review that’s needed. Everything from style of play, energy levels, formation… the last of the PL winners team glory. We look shot.

Thing is that next season will be the transistion one if that is the one in which we bed in new players, change playing styles, change coaching methods, change recovery/med procedures and what not.

I don’t know what we’re transitioning to, there’s no obvious target.
