Absolutely. Not about being ‘the big I am’. Not saying that Hendo is playing well, but we need to see a bit more of this imo. Nothing to do with who has been having a good season. Who gives a **** about that?

Nah….. not Ali, he’s been the only one to form this season. He should look in the mirror and shout at himself

Henderson is becoming a bit of a dick head.

His 'leadership skills' and 'influence behind the scenes' are a total myth. As he demonstrates, any cunt can shout and gesticulate for the cameras. If his leadership and influence was as important as his devotees claim, we wouldn't be in this ****ing mess in the first place.

Didn’t think it was that bad, all things considered. Pass selection was ****e in last 10 mins. Tbh though, after that second half against City , I’d have taken a draw and then take that improvement into the Arsenal game. Quietly confident of a good performance on weekend

It doesn’t matter. You can’t run about computing who has had a good season or not. Call it as you see it - that’s better captaincy.

Ali has also made mistakes. And when he does we lose goals and games. And I agree that he has been our best player this season. But he doesn’t get a pass.

You’re just driving home your agenda.

You're definitely an optimist, can't recall a more inept performance than that for as long as i can rememner

I thought this game was on Thursday...

Because when it comes from someone that's been absolutely ****ing **** this season it falls on deaf ears?

Hendo barking at Ali as though he'd made a monumental **** up and getting in his face was embarrassing to be honest. Especially from someone whose own performances have been abysmal. The guy cant even trap a simple pass played out wide to him ffs.

I am driving home my agenda because it’s merited - giving out I can accept but squaring up….. what an arse. He should have squared up to their midfield rather than waddling around avoiding tackles and duels. Our midfield was shocking last night but yet again he was the worst both on and off the ball statistically

That’s people’s biggest issue imo, they don’t feel like Henderson has a position of authority because he’s not a good enough player. But he’s captain, the manager has given him that authority.

As for barking like Ali had made a big **** up, when does that happen? When it’s clear a players has dropped a bollock, they get consoled and encouraged, usually by Henderson.

There’s definitely an agenda here. I am long done with Henderson as a captain and a player, and love Ali (same as most) but let’s look at it the other way for a sec, That was not a one way confrontation. Why the hell is our keeper getting shirty and physical with our captain, in public, because he’s being told to command his box and call for the ball? Take the ****ing note, it nearly cost us points, talk to your CBs and complain later if you must. Whether people like him or how he went about it, Henderson was doing his job, Ali was being ill disciplined. If that’s Gerrard responding to Mignolet doing the same, nobody is complaining, that the players are different should make no difference.

Hendo, even has captain, hasn't got the credibility to shout at Ali's error. Hendo was woeful last night and has been for months. Instead of dragging the team up and out of the **** like Gerrard used to do, leading by example, he's one of the worst culprits.

Yes, Ali's not untouchable - I've said it for years, he's pretty **** with the ball at his feet and more often than not ****s about with it too much and gets himself into trouble - and that's cost us games, no doubt. His clearance usually get sliced straight into touch too. But he's also capable of a worldie assist.

The whole team has been dreadful this season, more so since coming back from the World Cup. I've no idea how an entire squad, let alone first team, can just fall off a cliff in terms of performances, understanding, energy, ability, desire... it's mental. Unfathomable. A few maybe, but not all of them at the same time!

Perhaps they have all stopped listening to the gaffer. It wouldn't be the first time a man motivator loses his golden touch. Same message for 7 years can get repetitive.
