    Liverpool v Brentford

    Sat 5:30

3 home games in a week is pretty rare. Win this and we go 2 points behind Newcastle who then have Arsenal on Sunday.

We have left ourselves a lot to do, but this current run shows what happens when we hit a bit of form.

    AB

    Trent
    Konate
    Virgil
    Robbo

    Fab
    Elliot
    Jones

    Salah
    Gakpo
    Diaz

Not sure I would have Elliot in there, but then remembered our current options with Thiago out.

Think I would almost be tempted to use Keita for this game as Brentford press pretty well in the centre and Keita is pretty press resistent.

    Or is Keita injured again?

Rest of the team I would go the same as you, Buzzo.

Brentford will be a proper test as they are usually fired up no matter who they play, they have a damn good manager, and work really well as a unit, and they have that thing that often kills us this season in that they are physically a fit mobile team.

Think we have enough to beat them in a hard fought game though. Our midfield and defence is just about holding things together and up front we have a number of guys who will still score even if they are not having a great game.

Would also be tempted, if we started with your team, to sub Elliot off after 60 minutes for one of Jota or Darwin and let Gakpo drop back into an AM position. Be very curious to see how either of Jota or Darwin would do with Diaz to their left and Gakpo linking play just behind the striker.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Don't think you're allowed wheelchairs on the pitch...

        He's back in training.

Nothing good will come from playing him at this stage. I'd be inclined to start Milner or even Ox(is he even fit?) over Naby

          Forgot about Milner tbh.

Keita if fit I would play though, He is still being paid by us and is good against a press so may as well make use of him plus he will need to put himself in the shop window to get a new club. Think his ability against a press might take a little bit of the pressure off of our right side the way Jones is doing for our left side.

Milner if refreshed and raring to go might be worth a punt. Might not have pace but is a canny pro and well able for a physical battle even at this stage of his career.

Got to keep Naby fresh for whatever team he's playing 35+ league games for next season.

Get ready for God Save the King just before kick off......and the subsequent outrage when there are loud boos and chants of "**** the Tories"

It’s a great opportunity for a protest. The press will be all over it, but personally I’d love to be there.

I’m trying to imagine how (outside of Ibrox) a coronation rendition of ‘God save the king’ would go down up here it would be amazing. It would unite pretty much everyone.

I wonder what the army fella in the kop who waves the union jack thinks. Couldn't imagine being in such a hostile environment against your views, pretty grim

                      Jota still injured?

We're not going to see much of him next season either are we? Wolves fans did warn us.

Interesting line up with Gakpo, Jota, Salah and Nunez all starting.

                              Gakpo on central mid?
