First game I'm going to miss/totally ignore for as long as I can remember. Away this weekend and would've normally found a way to watch it - but just going to enjoy myself instead. Quite liberating.

Then cancel the stupid pre season plans that already look like they are going to copy that stupid hopping from location to location crap we did this season.

Was it four or five different locations (in terms of training camps) we had in pre season with the training being broken up on a regular basis by travel.


Just googled and we had five different training camp locations in pre season.

Kirkby, Thailand, Singapore, Germany, Austria and then back to Kirkby.

I recall commenting on that early this season too. Creates a real risk of starting the season undercooked as the stop/start nature of such training camps can hamper the continuity having one or at most two training camps creates.


Were it not for the logistics of it thanks to the way the summer gets broken up with international games, I would love to see us do a single location training camp somewhere like Big Bear in California or Salt City in Utah and have a proper high elevation multi week training camp.

I know we have altitude training chambers in Kirkby but using them in association with a pre season at genuine high altitudes makes more sense than a stop start pre season.

The upcoming preseason schedule is very different to last season's.

European training camp followed by a one stop tour in Singapore.
