My favourite moment of his from this game surprisingly wasn't the back heel. It was in the first half when Salah or Gomez or Jones slammed a diagonal backward pass to him from the wing at waist height. He was on the half way line so any mis-control would have encouraged West Ham to break. He took it on his manly thigh like he was practicing keepy uppies.

Free kicks aside, what was it that made you think he was a bit rubbish then?

I watched that clip and thought he played well

Problem with them clips is the other 88 minutes in a game when he's off the ball.

Moyes wanted Maguire, McTominay and Warrd Prowse, highly regarded sporting director Tim Stieden signed all those foreign lads

Paqueta ended a few careers with ridiculous pieces of skill but wasn’t in it enough. I think if he sorts this betting stuff he’ll end up at city, supposed to have an 85m release clause. I also thought Alvarez looked good for them in patches.

Behind Jones (96), Mac (96) and Endo (100) then?

Glad it's not just me that thought he had a good game then! Well, apart from his 2 free kicks, neither of which cleared the wall. Needs some coaching from Slinky on how to find top bins every time.

Not sure what game others were watching but I thought he was excellent throughout.

    Calm, creative, responsible, classy, omnipresent.

Well that does sound like a Michael Owen agent sheet but he really was all those things.

Odd. I thought he was exceptional. I'd have been gutted for him if we drew/lost as he was the best player on the pitch for me (I didn't see the last 15mins).

Looking forward to that back heel reel.

    The free kicks will come.

We look shaky against average sides. I think City or other top sides will cause our backline real problems.
We'll find out next weekend won't we!
