    The club's finances.

    Our issues;
    We had last season the oldest team in the squad and also the 2nd highest wage bill with £366m going out. Now compare that to AFC, who had around £200m.
    We know the owners will not put in money.
    Our sell to but model only works if we sell players

    The +ve
    We've added almost 7000 more seats, and lowered the debt paid to FSG.
    Sponsorship deals seem to be happening every week

    Contracts are heavily incentivised at LFC, hence winning costs more, losing becomes cheaper.

    Arsenal shedded high earners and pulled through a decent amount of youth players at a low costs, yet didn't qualify for Europe and then they take a hit in sponsorships etc, they then invest and reap reward, but their wage bill will be a lot higher. On this point, I don't get how Spurs wage bill is so low, given they do have a number of high earners ?

    City for a while had contracts off the books with key personnel thus what they received from City was a fraction they received from other associated companies, hence the investigation.

    LFC haven't lowered its FSG cost, its lowered the borrowing/debt to the external banks who funded the Main Stand, Kirby and the AFR in a double quick time, which, when considering debt repayment was miniscule, LFC accelerated repayments this, not being able to invest in the team structure over the last two years.

      This has always been a double edged sword for us…… we go well then we have no money because bonuses are paid out, we go bad then we have no money because CL revenue isn’t there….

      That is why the excelling transfer market for both buying and selling has been the real catalyst for extra cash. Within reason I never doubt our ability to identify talent but we seem to get fixated on unattainable unicorns or refuse to play what the selling club wants

      We are in a real catch 22 right now but we’ve shed a significant weekly salary burden do that should surely help with cash flow
