Yeah, he did okay, was probably fuelled by adrenaline. At least he's got his debut at home out of the way. What a week for the lad anyway! Probably never thought it possible aged 30.

No idea of our style of play. A man down. Keeps a clean sheet during his appearance with very few opportunities for Bournemouth. Bravely went in for headers against some massive guys. I like him already!

He’s definitely not up to speed, a few yards/split seconds off attempts to challenge and intercept, but that’s totally understandable in the circumstances. Fingers crossed he settles quickly.

Well yes, in his role a split second can be the difference between a brilliant interception and a red card.
                          Really?

I think he'll be relying on positioning, reading the game and anticipation; he doesn't appear to have much in the way of recovery pace to battle against fast breaking teams if he's caught up field.

Its his job to stay back. We were diwn to 10 men and a bit all over tbe place when he cane on. Did he even have a proper training session?

                              I think he did fine

Agreed. Far from ideal circumstances for his debut. Once he understands his role, how we play with and without the ball, he should be fine.
