Add to that it was always going to take time to bed in it's way too early to say anything about him
Obviously too early. Just the eye test early on. For example, for me you could see that Aquilani was a class player technically and positionally who just couldn't click or stay fit. Now, just looking at the way Endo controls the ball, passes it etc. doesn't fill me with confidence. Sometimes you look at a player and think 'he's good' and this is not one of those cases.

He just need to anchor the team, nothing fancy. He seems to be doing a reasonable job.

Most of the gaps were in the wider positions today. Better to judge when he gets a game in with 11v11.

Obviously not a longterm solution, though. Nobody gets fitter or faster at 30.

I mean people were writing Gakpo off after a few games, Lucas was crap and it took Fabinho 3 - 4 months to settle in and get to grips with the league and our system.

I’m not saying he’s going to be this or that but people are too quick to judge players.

That's fair enough but he's played half an hour with his full quota of team mates in a hostile environment against a team that was pressing high. If you were to judge most of the team on that time today you would probably say most of them were ****e
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Spot on. No Pre season , only a few training sessions & playing with 10 men is not the time to be judging him.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Do me a favour. He was **** from the moment he arrived. Abysmal player.

He has played two games, both in very difficult circumstances. He definitely looked lost at times against Newcastle, but so did most of the team.

I think he needs to adjust to the pace and physicality of the Premier League. At times it has passed him by and at times he has been bullied a bit (Newcastle's midfield could bully anyone to be fair).

Is he capable of adjusting? We'll see. If he can I think he will do ok for us until we bring Andre in in Jan

He's like a young Fabinho. We're sorted for year to come!

Hope his parents accidentally started at two… The traditional Japanese age system is one method of calculating age. A child is counted as one year old at birth, and every January 1st after that counts as a year older.

…. Yes I know he was born in 1993

                          Those crazy Japanese, eh!

The exact opposite of Fabinho's parents who started at -4

He’s looked way off the pace in the games so far but there were promising signs last night

That looked much better, I assume that's all from the second half?
