The Diaz decision was just strange. Psychologically we are way off, that and not being able to pass to a red shirt. Once again better focused after going down to 10

Maybe it’s a matter of Diaz having less positional discipline and him being more likely to concede possession while trying dribbles etc. Presumably the manager wants us to be tighter and to keep it at 1-0 to give us a chance at a set piece or something to get an unlikely point.

I stand by it being a poor pass from salah but trent should be more than capable of controlling it. I think virgil is genuinely going for the ball but he's just a bit slower than he used to be, so he gets things a fraction wrong. He is never going to be the player he was and should have been sold before the Saudis caught on. Salah is working hard and beat a player earlier. Gakpo has been ****. Midfield 3 is solid. Just got to hope being down to 10 gives us extra impoteus.

Diaz has come off because Gakpo offers more defensively, Diaz offers more pace and a threat on the break going forward. I think Nunez comes on if we are still in the game with 20 to go in order to give us that pace back over the top.

Would've taken Salah off before Diaz. And those calling for Darwin to come on....wtf are you expecting him to do exactly? He's absolutely ****e at retaining the ball and we're not playing direct enough (in this game) to play to his strengths. Jota is probably the obvious choice if it's a choice of him or Darwin.
