He was never the right fit for Bayern at this time.

It is as simple as Tuchel explained it, they don’t play with box to box mids.

Their midfield is built around Musiala in the 10 and Kimmich at the base with either goretzka or Laimer beside him. He isn’t a better deeper midfielder than any of them at the moment and hes not a better 10 than Musiala because few on this planet could claim to be.

His athleticism is much better suited to a midfield 3 under klopp but I think he can go on to become anything now he is somewhere he will get games

He reminds me of a Rolls Royce version of Carlton Palmer. Very gangly and leggy but effective. Whereas Carlton had his level with Sheff Wed mid table, this lad is a more skilful silkier version. Looks promising.

The most backhanded of backhanded compliments right there!

Carlton Palmer Not sure I agree with the comparison.

Been pleasantly surprised by his ability and attitude. Looks like an excellent signing.

He's got the potential to be one of the best players in the league. Another amazing signing.

It’s nice to have a deadline day signing slot in so seamlessly.

Nunez reminds me of a much better version of Iago Aspas. With more goals are probably better corners.

Scary thing about Gravenberch's potential is that he only turned 21 this year.

Think it does show though that if a young and very talented player has a high level of physicality/size for their age to go with the skill that they can more easily go against senior players and stand out.

Is the big difference between Elliot and Gravenberch imo. The former has no shortage of ability but does not have the size/physicality to go toe to toe with players that are bigger and faster than him and as such needs that bit more playing time imo to build up the experience needed to help him combat such players.

Whereas Gravenberch can beat those players with a dribble or a piece of skill now and if they want to go all yard dog on him he has the size and strength already to meet them head on.

Klopp has some wonderful selection head aches ahead of him in the middle now, even moreso if we sign someone like Andre in the future.

                        Szobo
                        MacAllister
                        Jones
                        Gravenberch
Elliot ( though I still do not see him as a CM, more an AM or RAM for me)
                        Endo

A load of mobility, skill and aggression in there and that does not include the likes of Bajcetic who hopefully will build on his own promising showings in the coming years.

It's amazing the turn around in the midfield that this rebuild has had. Szobo, MacAllister, Jones and Gravenberch all look like quality player who could be starting games, Elliott is promising but at the moment seems to have more of an impact from the bench. I could be wrong but I feel Endo was signed as a squad player to do the Milner type role of seeing out games, we need first choice number 6 and from where we are at the moment it looks like we have a good midfield for a few years now.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

It’s going to be difficult for Thiago to get a start when he finally returns

I hope so because anyone who keeps a fully fit Thiago (I know I know) out of the team will have to be in exceptional form.

Though the thought of a fit Thiago in the same team with any two from Szobo, MacAllister, Jones and Gravenberch is mouth watering.

Or having Thiago to come on for the final 30 minutes of games.

Speaks volumes for our fit midfielders that we are not missing a player like Thiago and if we get a player that smothers play like Andre, it makes it even more difficult for Thiago to get back in.

He's a joy to watch, and the best thing is you sense he's still got a whole lot more to give as well.
