Throw in the fact he has no pre season at all and then had a number of injuries that prevented him every building up full fitness or form.
If he can stay fit for the rest of the season he will be important for us as he will allow Klopp to have fresh legs when we need to rotate guys or needs a sub in EL league games or late in PL games.
Do agree with your second point about him struggling to make the bench if everyone is fit. He needs to be working hard in training and with any minutes he gets to try and avoid that outcome.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

He can train all he likes. He's built like a match stick and is very meek on and off the ball. In 40 odd years of watching football, I just don't see what he has in the locker. Bit of a Carlton Palmer without the heart.Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back. Oscar Wilde

He is a wimp. I still can’t tell whether he he’s playing within himself out of fear/nerves, or whether there isn’t a real player in there. Given his age and with this being his first season in the PL, I’m happy to give him the benefit of the doubt still. As with everyone, his role might be different in a new managers set up and it might suit him and bring out some confidence, and I hope so.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

What?! I thought he played well, got his foot in, used his body well, passed well and kept things ticking along. A solid 6.5/10 performance.Originally posted by kingfunk View PostDon’t want to be too harsh but he was abysmal tonight. His head is in the clouds, no awareness at all, way too lethargic. Maybe it’s lack of game time, but we can’t afford to start him again in the PL this season."We oil the jaws of the war machine and feed it with our babies."

respect your opinion, but what?? there were times when he was higher up the pitch where he either didn't have the energy to backtrack (early on as well) when we lost the ball or the creative vision (like had in the few games in the past) for that extra final forward pass (and we had willing runners into space) as well as his willingness to take defenders on (and we have seen him do that on european games)...very timid sub-par display today...Originally posted by DerKrampus View PostWhat?! Ok I'll revise the opening words but considering he's come back from injury and didn't give much away, I'd say he did alright.Originally posted by Myo View Postrespect your opinion, but what?? there were times when he was higher up the pitch where he either didn't have the energy to backtrack (early on as well) when we lost the ball or the creative vision (like had in the few games in the past) for that extra final forward pass (and we had willing runners into space) as well as his willingness to take defenders on (and we have seen him do that on european games)...very timid sub-par display today..."We oil the jaws of the war machine and feed it with our babies."

Nunez will get more than ‘ another season ‘ IMO. The guy is the driving force & an example of the effort required to be successful. Sure he’s not the had his shooting boots on at times but you can never question his effort.Originally posted by BG1973 View PostYeah he did.
Like Nunez he will get another season. Whether he takes the chance and becomes a first team starter or not he has quality and will have a role to play over a season.
Talk of binning him after one is mental.Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Harry Kane took a good few seasons before it clicked for him. I think Gravenberch will find his feet and become a great option for us.Originally posted by SB View PostNunez will get more than ‘ another season ‘ IMO.
