He'll get another season, but Baj and morton will be around so he'll need to buck up.

Plus he barely played any games for Bayern Munich last season and would be down on confidence the way they dealt with him.

He can train all he likes. He's built like a match stick and is very meek on and off the ball. In 40 odd years of watching football, I just don't see what he has in the locker. Bit of a Carlton Palmer without the heart.

Throw in the fact he has no pre season at all and then had a number of injuries that prevented him every building up full fitness or form.

If he can stay fit for the rest of the season he will be important for us as he will allow Klopp to have fresh legs when we need to rotate guys or needs a sub in EL league games or late in PL games.

Do agree with your second point about him struggling to make the bench if everyone is fit. He needs to be working hard in training and with any minutes he gets to try and avoid that outcome.

Don’t want to be too harsh but he was abysmal tonight. His head is in the clouds, no awareness at all, way too lethargic. Maybe it’s lack of game time, but we can’t afford to start him again in the PL this season.

Sub appearances only and move on in the summer. Wrong time of season to try and play him into form.
