So what are we thinking for our first game line up:

            Alisson
            TAA Matip Quansah Tsimikas
            Elliot Baj Jones
            Doak Gakpo Jota

Not a lot of creativity there but plenty of 'moments'.
            One tit for another.

I'd probably want to wrap Matip up in cotton wool a bit but Joe is the other alternative and he's a little bit brittle as well.

I'd replace Gakpo with Nunez to see if he can get a run of goals in and build up his shooting confidence.

I would like to see Quansah, Bajcetic and Doak get some regualr game time in this competition, I would imagine Kelleher would be given the early rounds of this competition at least as well. Players such as Elliott and Jota who aren't regular starters at the moment I would also like to see play to get them ready if/when called upon.

I wonder through how many changes Klopp will make in the early games of the group stages, I don't know that we will go out and make 8 or 9 changes I think he might want to go a little stronger either in the early games or the away games, and make changes when we have points on the board.

Can one of the mods please merge the 2 Europa league threads?

Similarly, Gakpo needs some confidence too as he hasn't scored yet. Out of the brittle defenders I'd rather risk Matip than Joe.

Replying to Exiled, I didn't realise Kelleher was still here. Yep get him on then. The rest are all proven Premier League players barring Doak and Quansah. More than enough for Home Alone part V.

Doak and Gravenberch can't both be registered for Europa League (unless Klopp drops the third choice keeper slot)

I posted in the HG thread I would rather put both in and risk going with Pitluga as our 3rd choice GK at least from the group stage (we can change things after the January window assuming we are still in the competition)

Jurgen Klopp faces a tough decision in naming his Europa League squad, with the Liverpool manager forced to omit one of his senior players.

Clubs are required to submit their final squads for the group stage of this season’s Europa League by 11pm BST on Monday.

                            As I predicted

Liverpool have omitted Adrian San Miguel from their squad for the Europa League group stages.

This Is Anfield understands that the Spaniard has not been included in the Reds’ selection for the first part of the competition.

What’s the point in selecting a third keeper? Even if your two get injured they give dispensation to add another one.
