Mad that they're looking to use a stadium for the fan zone which has a substantially larger capacity than the match venue.
and they are still saying that won't be big enough
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

with a chance to mingle with the former Manchester United player John O’Shea, who is the Europa League final ambassador
It already sounds like they are doing their best to discourage people from attending

At least it won't be Glasgow Rangers in the final. That'd have been proper carnage

I believe it is, but the Irish boys should be able to confirm.
We are here for a good time not a long time....

One of the ends, hill 16 (the smallest end) is standing only I believe.

Yip the hill is standing only.

Made from the rubble of o'connell street after the British wrecked the place. Arseholes.

As it is a GAA stadium, switching the game to there would be a logistical nightmare. Although to be honest as long as the fai get their palms greased, then they probably won't give a ****.

Nah the standing would be an issue for UEFA. It isn’t happening. Although why would you give a final to a 50k capacity stadium?

Surely they could install temporary seating?
Croker was great when the rugby was played there. I'll never forget the Ireland-England game. Spine tingling stuff
                    I love Sarah

Cos Covid scuppered their Euro games which ended up at Wembley iirc.

This cup is usually at a smaller stadium though. Our last final was in Basel.

It is a bit like picking The Emirates for a final, and using Wembley as a fan park.
                      Oh I don't know.

The real attraction with this final is that the stadium is only 7 miles or so from Perkins so a good chance that when you are getting mugged coming out of the ground that an EST celeb is taking your wallet.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

50k is at the higher end of what the Europa league has had in recent years, only 2 in the last 20 years have had attendances over 53k, 6 in that time have been under 40k (excluding years affected by covid)

I've little to no chance of getting Aviva ticket. Much better chance at Croke, so selfishly I'm quite pleased.

Although sickened that touts will probably sell those at ridiculous prices to watch on a tv screen.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I had to reread that twice. I thought it read pleb instead of celeb & I thought that’s a bit cheeky to call your fellow countryman a pleb.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.
