    Aston Villa (H) Sunday 2pm

    [ame]https://twitter.com/JoshLFC1909/status/1697897545547108356[/ame]

Van Dijk banned, Konate, Bradley and Thiago out and Bajcetic not yet fit, but others should be ready, right? Other than defense, we now have a lot of options all across the field. I definitely want to see more of that crazy ****er Nunez.

    What's wrong with Konate?

Another of those 'knocks' that turns into an 8 game absence?

He's in the France squad for the September friendlies

Klopp said it was a minor stress injury likely caused by playing with ten men against Bournemouth. Didn’t sound series.

Guessing our back four will be TAA Gomez Matip Robbo, and we’ll continue to play Trent as an inverted fullback and Robbo as a LCB. If so, Villa will score goals. Just hope we score more than them.
            Another MASSIVE game

I don't think it matters which players or what formation we setup with, we're going to leak goals or at least offer up opportunities. Just have to get used to scoring more than 1 to win games. I'd expect villa to get 2 or 3 today. Nunez hatrick please.

                My team for today:

                Ali

                TAA
                Gomez
                Matip
                Robbo

                Endo
                Szobozslai
                Mac Allister

                Salah
                Nunez
                Diaz

I remain to be convinced on Nunez but surely now is the time to start him through the middle and abandon playing him on the left. Give him his head as a proper on-the-shoulder 9 making runs in behind and see what he can do.

Gakpo has had a slow start (not his fault playing in midfield ffs) and I reckon we have enough in midfield to dominate the ball without the need for a false 9 to drop in. Keep Nunez away from the build-up and let him wreak havoc like last week.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Villa playing a high line in all their games so far this season, now watch them park on their 18 yard line against us and try to play on the counter all game.

Expecting an Emery masterclass of **** housing and time wasting but still think we have more than enough to put them away even though there will be most likely either another red card or another TAA gift wrapped goal.

I agree this seems to be the new set up but it's not sustainable. We need to be first and foremost difficult to score against and can't be giving teams goal starts on us.

The only really good thing to come out of this transition period is that for the last two years teams have known how to set up against us based on the way we play. Half the time these days even we don't know how we're going to play so hopefully it will be a big surprise for them.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

This will be a good test for us today. Looking forward to it.
