Regarding Mac, he hasn't been great imo but he never played that DM role on his own, always had Caicedo doing the dirty work. Feel for him slightly too.



Dom looked absolutely outstanding in the deep lying role. So comfortable on the ball and insane work rate. He's going to be a star.

Nah. People are being too harsh on Gakpo. We're pushing him all over the place - false nine is his best. We could've made a case for hooking 6 after the first half. He barely played in the second and scored from a well timed run.

We definitely have options in the front three.

I stand over my point that we planned badly in our transfers for defence. Him playing isn’t me saying he’s ****, I actually said he’s a massive prospect, him playing in our 5th league game is an indictment of poor squad planning. CB option 1 and 2 were missing, no 3 was at RB and no 4 was a car crash

Squad looks very strong now. Proper quality to bring on across all positions.

Players like Jones and Elliott have matured into really good players that add something to the first team.

OK. Yeah, that's fair. I would only play Jota and Gakpo through the middle myself. Nunez is better of the side IMO anyway.

We'd have lost this game last season. We were rubbish first half and Alexis rightly hooked at half time, wasn't at it at all.

So much better second half.

Lots of positives - BIG BIG shout out to Quansah. A massive leap forward to a Williams or Kabak or Phillips on this growing evidence. Didn't look out of place playing in that backline.
