I don’t think slow would be a problem if we were controlling the ball 20/30 yards further forward (which a midfield four would give us). We should be able to work this lot at walking pace but it’s all falling apart 40 yards away from their goal or down the wings.

We look panicked in possession and they’re closing down quickly reducing the spaces we have to play in. Need to calm down and improve accuracy of our passing. As you say, speed isn’t necessarily an issue if we are in full control…

Why do we as a club make basic writing formation, thats more of a worry

This team is more than good enough to be winning easily and Doak can't be using that as an excuse. Just a bad performance so far, one that the first team are also capable of, so hopefully the 2nd string can respond like we've seen they (1st team) have this season.

I don't think Diaz is all that to be honest - I miss Mane.

He is better at fancy dribbling... But Mane was far more direct and had an end product.

I think maybe we saw a higher ceiling with Diaz based on that, but I dont think he is going to reach it personally
