Nunuez seems to do better coming on. He has looked poor when starting. Id go Gakpo Nunez... Jota is also playing quite ****e recently... He is a strange one as he doesnt really fit the teams style for me, but whem he is on form, he can bamg them in.

Been years since we lost a league game I have been at, so am giving your son a Doc P guarantee * of seeing a win tomorrow afternoon.

Also have the "pleasure" of having to go look (ha more like been told I am going whether I like it or not) at properties tomorrow before the game in the Tobacco Warehouse and at a penthouse apartment across from the Liver building.

None are for me, but as I fancy a move back to Liverpool again some time in the future and as I may have a time limit in doing so it will not hurt to have a peep.

But I am being rewarded with a steak dinner and have been told that it will either be at the Cowshed or Hawksmoor in the earlyt night after the game.

I really am a simple creature. Offer me a tasty meat dinner and I just roll over for almost anyone.

Perhaps Jaco means Monday morning, but somebody should probably tell him

Edit: game is on Sunday and flight home arrives on Sunday night not morning. Knew the flight was arriving in Cork at 9 something, just 21 hundred nine and not AM 9 lol.

No idea why I had it so arse ways. Even had to double check tonight's flight just in case I effed that up too Great even more time to be stuck looking at properties and no match on Saturday to speed that process up

Still no game on Saturday means there is a chance I can wangle a trip to the Swinging Arm in Birkenhead after din dins on Saturday night.

Would rather not see Jota and Gakpo on the pitch at the same time, I just don't think it works well.

Maybe start against West Ham with Diaz-Gakpo-Salah and bring on Nunez and Jota around 60 mins.

Altho I would love to see much more of Salah/Nunez on the pitch together, they seem to have developed a great understanding.

Nothing bad and you'd expect players to back themselves, but still hope we stuff them and ram those comments down his throat.

We also need to keep this run going ahead of two tough fixtures against Spurs and Brighton away. Would love another dominant, controlled performance like against Villa.

I always think Antonio always has one of his infrequent class games against us.

They’re a very good team and Bowen is class.

But we’re at home and need to blow them out of the water from the start.

If Trent isn't back, surely it makes sense to set up like we did 2nd half against Wolves with Szobo and Jones holding, Mac Allister ahead of them where he's supposed to be. Will help get the best out of Mac and also makes things much easier for Gomez. Even Jones and Mac holding works.

Can't see it though, we'll probably wait until we're one down again.

started a topic West Ham (h)

    West Ham (h)

    Sunday 2pm.

Guess much of it picks itself. Obvious selection issues are probably up front - do Gakpo and Jota come in after getting 0 minutes last night and Diaz and Nunez playing 90?

Personally I'd go with Nunez and Diaz again and play Gakpo and Jota against Leicester.

Another issue for me is having to sacrifice much of Alexis' quality by playing him as the 6. Endo looks well short at the moment so we're gonna have to play Mac there. It's a waste, and becoming a bit of an issue for us.

    Ali

    Gomez/TAA
    Konate
    VvD
    Robbo

    Mac Allister
    Szoboszlai
    Jones

    Salah
    Nunez
    Diaz
