Next Match Leicester EFL Cup (H)

    Wednesday evening 1945 KO.

With us playing Spurs on the weekend I think it’s safe to say we’ll ring the changes for this one. I thought Spurs would be playing midweek too but can’t see their match in the fixtures list for some reason.

    Kelleher in goal?

Defence is hard to pick but Quansah & Timmy start surely?

Gravenberch, Endo & Elliot in midfield?

Doak, Gakpo & Jota up front?
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

    Spurs lost to Fulham.

Lots of changes, only question is who plays RB/CB

      Ok that explains it then.

I wonder if we play Endo at the back & give Bobby Clark a run in midfield or more likely Curtis Jones ?

tbh I reckon Endos confidence is already fragile from his time here, got to play him in proper position

Yeah that’s fair enough too. Not sure who else, other than the usual players we’ve got to cover RB & CB if we want to rest Gomez , Matip & Virg. I think Gomez & Ibou will partner Quansah & Timmy actually. Gomez can have a rest when Trent returns.

Bajcetic will probably play RB again id say. He can then comfortably move into the Trent role and will get some km's into his legs and allow the others (Grav, Endo + Elliott) to get midfield minutes too.

Jota Gakpo and Doak surely the front three you'd think.

Wholesale changes for this one again, leave us well rested for the Spurs match (Spurs already being out of this competition). If we go out, we go out, other priorities this season.

Surely it will be similar to the Europa League lineup

Would expect to see Kelleher, Quansah, Tsimikas, Bajcetic, Elliott, Gravenbach, Endo, and Doak start, given Gapko hasn't played much I would expect him to start too. Question is which senior defenders play and how you accommodate those 4 midfielders, does he try Bajcetic at RB again?
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Id rather Bajcetic played DM... and we scrap the inverted RB.

Anyone know what Leicester are like nowadays? Is Vardy still their main striker?

                    Kelleher
                    Baj Gomez Quansah Timmy
                    Elliot Endo Gravenberch
                    Doak Gakpo Jota

Bring on Szob, Salah, Nunez, Diaz and Jones if/when needed in the match.
                    One tit for another.

                      Albeit in a lower division.

Our squaddies should be able to handle them though, says he hopefully.

Balls, we would get (another) team with their tails up. Hopefully our second XI can keep the lights on until the cavalry arrive in the second half. (Nothing better than a mixed metaphor for such an occasion)

Not a bad game then for our squaddies to get their teeth into coming up against a team in form.

                              Something like:

                              KELLEHER

                              BAJCETIC MATIP QUANSAH TSIMIKAS

                              ELLIOT ENDO JONES

                              DOAK GAKPO JOTA

Smash these cunts. Although i think Leicester are handy. They have the post-Brendog bounce which will serve them well.
