Yeh fair point. But they wouldnt have won last game without KDB cameo. But they could hvae allready been losing without ROdri on pitch.Originally posted by Mark79 View PostRodri, if I could pick one. Same as when they had Fernandinho, any spell with him out of their team and they start dropping points.
ANyone **** them they can't catch us if we don;t lose

It is crazy that we are 5/2 outsiders and they are odds on. We have loss less than them, Let in fewer goals and they have only scored one more.
We have had a harder 1st half a season too. Think the bookies are just presuming that City will win every game till end of season._____________________________________

He never changes his behaviour. He just gives a bs explanation, apologises if he has too, and then is free to carry on with his agenda when he’s regularly selected for our games.

Yeah I think it's based more of previous seasons form than current form. They should finish the season strong. They normally do. Can we match them over the remaining games?Originally posted by red g View PostIt is crazy that we are 5/2 outsiders and they are odds on. I would have us about even money to be honest, but I am biased
For me the key will be who gets the least injuries to key players, and who handles the injuries the best. Our squad is stretched right now and we're hanging in nicely, but we can't keep that up forever and we will need a bit of luck with injuries to get over the line IMO.

I think we will have some of our players back soon though..... Trent, robbo, dom, Thiago..... Endo and salah too. So all of a sudden our bench will look a whole lot better.Originally posted by Pablo View PostYeah I think it's based more of previous seasons form than current form. Would be nice if city got a few tricky games in the champions league though. Copenhagen ffs. Hopefully spurs give them a physical one in the fa cup. And it'd be nice to see them get bayern or real madrid in the next round of the champions league.
I think with us having 5 forwards has proved invaluable. Theres an argument to say that our previous holy trinity were way better - Bobby mane and mo. But i think the 5 we have now, the 2 that don't play are stronger from yhe bench than origi and Minamino were.

I think being able to give the forwards breaks is important, I think that (Salah aside) the others are all more or less at the same level so there isn't a significant drop off when we swap people around. With all due respect to Minamino and Origi who did gets some big/key goals they weren't at the level of the others. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

It's almost like they are on a wind up. He does 40% more of our games compared with any other ref._____________________________________

I don’t think it’s something we stumbled on either- I think klopp started moving to this model once the 5 subs rule was in place. When all 5 are fit, we substitute 2 of them every game more or less. This wouldn’t have been possible when we only had 3 subs, and we wouldn’t have been able to keep all 5 happy.
It’s great that apart from salah, none are guaranteed their place in the starting 11, and none of them don’t have a chance to get into the starting 11- keeps them all on their toes. Back in the day, if Origi is playing in a cup game, even if he gets a hat trick, he’s not starting in the next league game ahead of the main 3- now the cup games are an opportunity for the likes of gakpo (at the moment) to earn a place in the starting 11 in the league…I don't tip

To be fair, peak Mane Bobby and Salah would not be rotated as much. Diaz Gakpo and Nunez have all struggled for form most of the season. Jota didnt really fit the formation we were using.
Its good to have options though. I think the next month without Salah will show us the true mettle of our forward line. They do look like they are just hitting form though. Even Nunez, despite missing many a sitter, is combing really well.
Losing Salah for a bit might be a "blessing in disguise" if they all continue to step up.
I think we ate starting to look exciting at the right time. We are going to need every edge between now and May.In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.
