City home game is a must win now. Whereas a draw might have been a good result had we got a result at arsenal

United and Villa away will be tricky too. And Spurs at Anfield.

We need to be ****in perfect from here on.

Gut feeling is that we will be just short again

I think last night was the must win, tbh. We needed to put some real pressure on city and I think they’re pretty much cruise it from here. We also needed the win for confidence and to create momentum for a glorious Klopp farewell tour. Only a win against city can revive those things if we are still in touch.

City atmosphere at Anfield will be electric though. Hopefully we can do it. A city win that day though and it's all over.

Can guarantee that it will be either anthony taylor or paul Tierney as ref that day. ****in cunts

A long way to go yet. That was a terrible performance, but a loss there isn't a huge shock, it is probably the 2nd toughest fixture of the season.

We need to be flawless now though until the City game if we want to have any chance. They will smell blood.

I’m glad you are not in charge of morale and motivation

The very worst outcome will be us being 1 point behind City with 45 points to play for. Way too early to be raising the white flag.

Battle to the finish line and it’s anyone’s to win. If, for example, we win all of our games we win the League.

If the sentiment is that City will just cruise to 17 straight wins then we were never going to win the league.

I doubt they’ll need 17 straight wins tbh.

I hate this, 'take the most negative possible outcome and run with it' style of supporting. Where is the fun in pessimism? A pessimistic take allows you one possible moment of enjoyment, that's if/when we actually win something.

The thrill is in the chase, and the battle. Opting out of dreaming is just incredibly miserable. If everyone did it there would be about 5 people attending football matches every weekend.

Its sport, anything is possible. City have lost three games this season, they can lose more. For example, Brentford did the double over them last season.

these are just general points, and not a character assassination btw Kenneth - you keep being you

This season has already shown that surprises lurk every week - even with De Bruyne they could **** up and lose to Brentford, especially as Toney is back.

One bad game and the sky falls.

In the hunt for four trophies at the start of February. Will we win some, all or none? Who knows, but am sure there will be plenty of big moments to look forward to as we find out.

You have to risk big to win big in most things that you attempt. Being a supporter is no different imo. You have to buy into that hope in order to really revel in the great moments otherwise all you do is spend time not getting overly invested so that any "failures" are expected.

Work hard, hope hard, and fight for the inches. Makes the wins in life taste sweeter and imo makes where you end up earned rather than that destination turning into a series of "if only this was done or that was done"

Right now I am hoping for four trophies come the end of the season. If in a month's time all we can win are three, then I hope for the three.

Can wallow in the aftermath of the season, good or bad, once it ends.

If only we as a club had a song we could sing that summarised some of these key emotions.

Something about 'sticking together' with 'hope in our hearts'?

Yesterday was a poor result and a poor performance, it happens, it was only our 2nd PL defeat of the season, we are still top of the league. Beat City and match their results in the remaining games of the season and we will win the league. City are a good side but so a are we.

Will it be easy? No, but there would be no fun in it if it were.
