The thrill is in the chase, and the battle. Opting out of dreaming is just incredibly miserable. If everyone did it there would be about 5 people attending football matches every weekend.
Its sport, anything is possible. City have lost three games this season, they can lose more. For example, Brentford did the double over them last season.
these are just general points, and not a character assassination btw Kenneth - you keep being you
don’t know any other way. I don’t think it’s pessimism and I do actively try to remove emotion from things in general, maybe I’m on the spectrum. I don’t make assessments in order to have fun, and I'm not involved in some kind of self delusion to convince myself to have fun. Anything is possible, but ‘so you’re saying there’s a chance’ and thinking it likely is very Lloyd Christmas. The excitement of a title chase can exist without false expectations about the result. In fact, I’d suggest that anyone who genuinely thinks we will win the league is likely to have less of an emotional reaction to us eventually winning it.
A full strength city are the best team in the league/europe/world and they’ve got over the line five times in the last six seasons. It’s more likely than not that they will again, which is why they’re odds on to do so with the bookies. I think my posts reflect that.Last edited by Kenneth; 05-02-24, 03:55 PM.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

Yeah, that came across as way more aimed at specifically you than it was meant to.
We all do it our own way, the push me pull you of half empty and half full. Dreamers v realists. Life is too real, if I dont have music, arts and sport for dreams then I am not sure I would cope.
Its not Loyd Christmas FFS
even the bookies give us a chance.
I do appreciate the reference tho

Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

Always, keep your face to the sun, and shadows will fall behind you.
