Alisson was brilliant. Man is a genuine top level game changer.

The other starters were fairly meh. Blowing hot and cold.

All the subs did really well after coming on, especially Elliot and Gomez.

Palace played nothing but negative dirty football with no small amount of time wasting. Pretty much a reflection of their talentless chancer of a **** manager.

Three games in a row, two of them away, in which we have not really played that well as a team but still come away with three wins.

Brings to mind that saying about how champions find ways to win even when off form.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Also their comments on the first booking that you are taught to do that to stop the quick freekick so it's harsh. No by definition if you try to stop the quick freekick it's a yellow card. The only issue for me is that alot of times referees don't punish it appropriately that's the only reason it looks harsh.

My feeling was that the 2nd one would have been a harsh yellow card were it not for the tactical nature of it stopping the break. Nothing was said of Palace throwing themselves to the floor under the slightest contest, if they had got something from one of those freekicks nothing would have been said about it so my view is **** them.

Just low quality officiating. There has never been a more obvious booking in football history.

Yep. And there was 2 occasions when they stopped us from.taking a throw, making contact with Virg's arm for one. That's a yellow, but wasn't in either instance.

Ref was lucky that the result went our way. He ignored most of the tactical stuff in the first half, finally having the balls to dish the cards out in the second half, and every one of them was legit

Taking 6 minutes to review and still not being a clear error just felt sadistic tbh
VAR is all over the place the consistency and the time taken is all over the place. It is supposed to be a clear and obvious error, if it takes that long is it really clear and obvious? I don't like the idea of a time limit because technical issues getting the right angle or frame for when the ball is played for an offside for example could eat up much of that time. I think maybe a time limit on if the ref gives nothing, but VAR thinks it's a pen makes sense, I feel if the ref has been conned into giving pen for a dive checking for evidence that there was no contact could take a while so I don't think a time limit would help there...

Yeah I noticed those too, it was clearly a tactic to slow our play down, also a few other players were trying to stop quick freekicks but weren't booked.

                  It’s arguably a straight red.

Possibly if we hadn't scored. But there's no way any ref in the league is giving the goal and a red card. A goal and a yellow definitely though.

Mentality monsters showing up once again. My dad told me I should just come out and start watching the games in stoppage time to save myself the stress.

I hope Elliot and Jones get some more starts. Jones makes us a better balanced team, maybe he would also make a good 6. And Elliot is having an impact every time he comes off the bench. He’s really progressed this season and looks good in the midfield and in the front 3. I like Gravenberch but I’d have Elliot and Jones ahead of him right now.

How long did it take VAR to tell the ref to stop the game. I think I heard just under two minutes. If you can’t make your mind up after 30 - 60 seconds when that’s all you’re looking at then just leave it. I mean he doesn’t have to pay attention to anything else. Also how did it take the ref so long to see the foul on Endo for the first VAR check.

The stopping thrown ins really annoyed me, so much cynical crap in the game. And then there was Hodgson whinging after the game about player behaviour. It was your own team.

As poor as we were for large parts of the game Alisson was immense again, two really big saves. If he hadn't been back today I think we probably would have lost, (I don't mean this disrespectfully) but I don't think Kelleher saves those.
