Yep, proper leg breaker that. Was lucky he was already in the air and didnt have his leg planted.

Nothing being said of it either.

Instead talking about Virg "getting Ayew a yellow card". Twitter is a frenzy of mad oppo fans saying we got gifted a win

It was two by the letter of the law stone wall yellow cards. Ayew can only have himself to blame .

Yellow would have led to a red as he had already been booked in the first half
I make no apologies, this is me

That view is BS, Hodgson said that VVD got Ayew booked by kicking the ball at him It's exactly the same as a tactical foul stopping the team getting an advantage by getting a quick break. Hodgson doesn't agree with those yellows or yellows for time wasting which I think says it all about his style of play. I can't believe he ever managed us
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Agreed! He is a difference maker! The best keeper I’ve seen play for Liverpool!

My brother is a Palace fan, he reckons Allison was shaky

I really don't like the narrative seemingly being put out by broadcaster and Hodgson that Palace were unlucky to get so many bookings, I have seen Palace and Everton fans posting stats about how the foul to yellow cards ratio for both sides when 'there wasn't a bad tackle in the game'. It wasn’t a dirty game and the only really bad tackle I can think of was the one on Jones for the equaliser (which should have been a 2nd yellow), but there was alot of persistent fouling and tactical fouls from Palace which, seemingly don't count. I thought the broadcasters were in favour of entertaining games so should be behind yellow cards for tactical fouls preventing quick free kicks and throws etc ...

For about 75 mins it was just one of those games where I genuinely couldn't see us winning. We have grinded out those 9 points, you can't play amazing in every game but getting those points on the board is what matters. Arsenal losing yesterday was beautiful, we have the chance to finish United off and then win that 6 pointer vs Arsenal. Huge few weeks coming up.

Tactical fouls aren't part of a totting up process in the same way that minor offences would be viewed, but loads still went unpunished in the first half. After that the ref had had enough. It'd be interering to know if he spoke to Hodgson at half time about it and if Hodgson just ignored the advice, it definitely appeared that the ref totally clamped down

So did Van Dyck’s yellow get rescinded?

I thought it definitely should but with the shenanigans we’ve seen this season it would not surprise me if they didn’t.

Shouldn't the Palace player been sent off anyway or does the fact we scored in that passage of play overide the foul play??

Palace have made the most tackles in the PL (by a fair margin), but had zero red cards before yesterday, and the second least amount of bookings.

We on the other hand have made the 3rd least amount of tackles, but lead the way for red cards.

As the old saying how's, **** them.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Was he carded at all? Surely that allows for retrospective action and should be a red card
