Yeah quarter final of a cup, have to go strong.

West Ham are a solid unit with some really good players in midfield and out wide so will need quality and serious work rate to counter them.

Their newer signings like Alverez and Kudos seem to be settling well and Paqueta is just quality.

Good thing, from our perspective, about West Ham this season is that their back line is prone to giving a lot of chances away.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

I reckon Moyes will use man united game as a blue print and pack their defense even more so
Hopefully that doesn't work because if it does, then the likes of Bowen and Kudus will be able to catch us on the break.

        I hope we go strong.

Does Kelleher have the gloves for the carabao though?? To be honest i hope not

I am going to this one too. Will be in the new Anfield rd end upper. Looking forward to seeing us (first game this season due to work commitments etc) but just hope we ****in do it.

I'm thinking this as well. I hope Klopp goes with Ali and a strong back line. We need to win this well and put the misery of Sunday behind us.
We are here for a good time not a long time....

Its a 1/4 final at Anfield, losing isnt an option - we have to go strong (ish) particularly with a non intimidating list of teams waiting in the semis.

Particularly in midfield, it is a shame we are racking up injuries in midfield as it means the workload is going to be high on the guys who are fit and therefore increases their chances of joining the walking wounded. We can rotate a bit in defence.

I'd go Szob, Endo, Jones midfield.
            Modifying post.

That’s the midfield that needs to start vs Arsenal where it’s a top of the table decider! I’m torn in this game tbh - there is a league sitting there to be won but our squad is very thin on the ground now and this game isn’t at an ideal time when Arsenal have a week off

I find it hard to care much about this cup. Quarter final or not.

Given the amount of injuries we already have I'd much rather rest and rotate here to give us the best chance to be as fit and fresh as possible for the upcoming Christmas PL slog.

I'd hate to see a tired performance against the likes of Arsenal of Newcastle on account of overplaying anyone for this game.

Yip it is a tricky one.

Personally i would go strong - especially with the attacking line up - as after the Man United game, few goals will do them well going into Saturdays game.

I just hope Alisson starts. For me he is our most important player and the drop off from him is huge. I just have the feeling that kelleher will get the nod and i think that might cost us.

                  Hope to see something like:

                  -------------ALISSON

                  TRENT-----KONATE-----VIRGIL-----BOWEN

                  -----SZOBOASLAI---ENDO---JONES

                  SALAH-------NUNEZ------GAKPO

Kelleher definitely will play IMO. This is his competition and one he played a key role in winning previously. Klopp had conversations with him about leaving in the summer and I'm sure certain assurances were made to make him stay.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Don't think Mo and Szobo have looked the same since they were surprisingly picked in the last round. The Luton match afterwards was definitely their worst performances to date and they haven't improved much since.

Maybe tonight will have the reverse effect.

                        Then we are ****ed imo

West Ham at 3/1 to qualify for the next round looks v good value.

                        Watery ****s time here

⚒️ West Ham XI: Areola, Coufal, Ogbonna, Mavropanos, Johnson, Alvarez, Soucek, Fornals, Kudus, Benrahma, Bowen.
