Didnt see a problem when Bradley got forward.
He got caught forward a few times - luckily either someone filled in or the opposition were too ****e to take full advantage.

Yep, and we wouldn't have to deal with all the disruption and uncertainty Trent brings either.

Sure. But you have to ask yourself is it him thats helping the defense keep the goals down or is it the defense covering for him? Majority of the attacks always go down Trents side. The opponent more often than not gets passed him. Usually its Konate covering that side and blocking things.

So you're saying Konate covers the right hand side when Trent moves into midfield? Interesting...

Do you not think he’s being asked to play this way, it’s how we set up which is down to Klopp which also incidentally has led us to being top of the league at present, it’s how we play and it leaves spaces for our CBs to cover.

Arsenal was a bad game for everyone but Bradley wasn’t available for obvious reasons, Trent probably shouldn’t have started and Grav was also way off it as well.

I'm not saying they're getting by because hes in midfield. They've always gotten by him. Bradley plays fairly forward too when hes on. But somehow he manages to track players back or stop them from getting past him more often than trent does before they become a problem for our defenders. Bradley stops more people. In midfield and in defense. With Trent most of the time they just saunter past him which is why teams always focus on our right.

It comes back to how we set up though, Gomez was playing the Trent role from the left which allowed Bradley to play a more traditional role.

I rate Bradley but he's not available for however long he needs (and rightly).

The sample size you're using is ridiculously small as well but anyway.....

For me, a diamond formation might be the making of this current group. Trent on the right of the diamond

I must be imagining the previous years of hearing how he isnt very good at defending and tracking back from media and comments here. My sample size for him not being a great defender isnt small. Bradley being better, yes its small. But on how performances are now, hes been consistently better.

The sample size is about Bradley who’s played a handful of games; fairly obvious I would have thought seeing Trent has played over 200 games

Maybe when Bradley has a a decent run of games a meaningful comparison can be made

I think Trent is an amazing footballer and a really good defender…… when he puts his mind to it. Mainly last season and on occasions this season it’s like he doesn’t try and half arses it. I can only go by what I see on tv but sometimes it’s like sometimes he doesn’t want to defend

When he’s on the ball it’s a different story entirely

                            An amazing highlights video.
If trent was still maintaining that level there would be no debate.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Already acknowledged this. I stated on current play. And currently Bradley is doing better. So I'd prefer him to keep playing.

I’m going to call this one early and say that we need to be thinking about playing this lad in midfield
