Thanjk you.

That's the big thing IMO, he puts together decent runs of form, but they don't tend to last that long as he seems to be prone to picking up injuries that keep him out for a few weeks and break that momentum. I think he has the potential to be a really good player for us if he can stay fit.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
I thought he was very patient vs Vini. Bradley has a wee bit of a tendency to jump in, be a bit rash and give away fouls. He didn't do that and wasn't committing himself, looked very composed but aggressive. It was an outstanding display against a fantastic player who is also a genuine thunder cunt... which made it all the more satisfying.
Seems like he needs to be against World Class oppo every week to get the best out of him!
I guess the learning curve for him is that he needs to bring that level of intensity and concentration no matter who we are playing. A game like Tues shows how high his ceiling of potential could be.
I wonder if that is partly on the manager as well tho. Against RM, it may be that his instructions were more around stopping Vini than providing the overlap to Mo, so he was able to be in position more. Whereas against other opponents, he is being told to get forwards more, so his concentration isn't solely taken by being defensive, but thinking about springing forwards too.
Asking a footballer to concentrate on 2 things at once is a recipe for disaster, that's what I reckons!
He set the tone, that was the biggest factor imo. Focus & controlled aggression vs quality opponents. It was a huge night for him & hopefully that is a springboard for his career.

This is interesting. I saw a clip recently that highlighted the prosodic shift on the term, "right back" from ex pros all over the football podcast scene that annunciate "back" over today's more lazy delivery of the term. Basically they stayed back more, erm, back in the day, as opposed to the modern expectations of a "right back." It's a linguistic observation that hadn't occurred to me before but it's obvious when it's pointed out.

I was at the Chelsea game last year when he started instead of Trent and Mo must have been at AFCON so Jota was on the right wing. I remember thinking this is what it’s like to have someone who can defend at RB. He scored that night too.
I’m glad to see he has kicked on and is getting better.
