Xabi Alonso (in 2017) on which club he preferred out of Bayern, Madrid and Liverpool: "I would say Liverpool. It was strange because I thought I’d feel at home in Madrid due to it being my country but compared to Liverpool it wasn’t. Liverpool is like my 2nd home."
Doesn’t mean he’d choose us over Madrid but it’s a good sign if it did come down to the two. Plus Madrid is the kind of place you would get sacked from if you’re struggling early on, not always the most patient of clubs and Xabi will likely be very careful with his next move.

Out of us and Bayern, I think Liverpool offers a more stable environment, less pressure and a more fun club. We're more than halfway through renewing the team, which means he's not starting from scratch but he can put his stamp on the team. If he passes, there is nothing to guarantee that he gets another chance tbh, we might get in another manager who stays seven years, he takes Bayern and is sacked after two years or what ever.
So I do believe, if we offer him the job, he'll take it.* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

I agree that I think we are the more attractive proposition. If he really wanted to stay in Germany why not stay at the Club where he’s adored compared to the hot seat at Bayern?Originally posted by The_weatherman View PostOut of us and Bayern, I think Liverpool offers a more stable environment, less pressure and a more fun club. Yaaa and if he wins the bundesliga this season, nothing he would do with Bayern would top that- even winning a treble with Bayern isn’t a big deal. 2 out of the 3 should be a bare minimum, for it to be a decent season.I don't tip
