Very few managers survive the Real, Barca, Chelsea circuses. We are the best most logical next step for him. But I fear he may want to stay at Leverkusen for at least 1 more season.

But does he run the risk of staying another season and perhaps struggling to replicate the same again next year.

I think any sourness would be more at Rafa, the fans adored him and he knows that. Their backing will probably give him more time to bed in, even if we have a rocky start as the players get used to a new style of playing.

A bigger risk (for him) might be not taking the job, if offered it, and then someone else doing well and Alonso then rarely being as well placed to come back as he may be now.

That will be his dilemma. If he wins the league, which is looking nailed on, I think he might think that. Particularly when Munich do their usual and steal the best players. If he doesn't win the league he might think I will have another go. However our job is there for the taking and that might be the deciding factor.

Would Munich raid for him as well as his players?
Nope, don't need anger management, you just need to stop pissing me off!

There's a non-zero chance that Tommy T will be out a job come the summer.

Bayern have generally bought the best players from their rivals

Any Bayern manager who doesn't win the league is out of a job

I cant see him going directly from Leverkusen to Bayern.

TBH I cannot see him going to Bayern before he gets a crack at the Liverpool or Real job, maybe not even until after he has tried both.

So that's the next 7 or so seasons with us, followed by 2 years at Real before he goes to Bayern.

I think he will know the risks involved in going to Barca or Real; nearly every manager gets chewed up and spat out quickly, albeit with his pockets lined with gold. I just can't see him goig straight to Bayern, and I don't see the appeal to him of a team like Chelsea IF we are in the market for him. We are his best chance of a long managerial stint and at this point in his career that has appeal to.
