What’s with the commentators talking Southampton up like they’re playing a full strength Liverpool.

Good effort from the younger players but you can see players like Elliot, Bradley and Gomez are struggling. They look so tired. I imagine Elliot might be off at half time and share the 90 with Diaz. Maybe Max Alister on at half time as well.

I thought our front players pressed really hard, was disappointed in the midfield's lack of wanting to help out our defence. Think it was McConnell who lost the ball and made no attempt to chase back and make up for it. Clark looks good

I would say Southampton edged it, they were certainly the better side in the first 25mins,but we grew into the game.

With the injuries to the forwards this has been a chance for him to step up, but he has been particularly disappointing last couple of games
