The silver lining to the injuries crisis is that the Academy lads have had their chance to shine and demonstrate that when you are good enough you are old enough.
100% it's great seeing them get games. Was just thinking out loud. Will be strange for the whole squad not just the young players. Come back in June/ July and all the management team has gone. Can't imagine another job scenario in the real world where this would happen.
Great win, long may this run continue.

I don’t get these comments. One of the major briefs when looking for a new manager is someone who will continue the development of the young players and utilising the academy which the owners have done so much to develop.
Losing Vitor Matos who's the link between the two as well Pep who himself moved from the youth set up to first team. Lots of experience/relationships/trust will be lost.
Exactly why we need to have a better structure as a club.
Klopp has been brilliant, but as soon as he leaves it's opens up a massive void.
A director of football should ensure smoother transitions and better continuity.
We don't need managers to leave and take all their staff with them...
The staff should be Liverpools back room team.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

I get all that and hope it doesn’t change and get where people are coming from but it shouldn’t stop the new boss using players. We still have Alex Inglethorpe running the academy and has been for a while. The club are clearly looking to set up a structure where there is that continuity no matter who the manager is. We did have all that but lost some key people and Klopp took more control.
For me it’s a positive and any manager looking at potentially getting the job would be very excited by the prospects of the academy. If you can have a decent part of the squad from there you can spend big on one or two top talents. The owners have been building to this. It takes time to get the academy to the level we want it to be at.
Being positive about the big changes coming. I was hoping all these young players would mean Klopp stays around. But I’m excited to see what’s next especially if we get a young manager like Alonso and Edwards back running things with him.
