For me today was make or break for him as regards our top 5 hopes, a win would have put us right in amongst it. Defeat means I just don't see how it happens now.

We got 15 points from our first 5 games, those are doing some heavy lifting in our position and points total. Take those out and we have W9 D7 L10 of the 26 since then. 34 points from 26 games is bottom half of the table form

This may sound dumb but I don't think he wants to be here next season, not saying he's trying to get sacked or anything but I could see a mutual agreement on a departure and him going back to the Dutch league.Originally posted by 5europeancups View PostThe second half showing and the fact that brightons stats were well elevated compared to ours suggest poor coaching. Slot is relying on Europe form to keep his job. Time for a change. Nothing to lose.

That's 51 points from 35 games.. barely midtable.Originally posted by Needles View PostHe's got to go. Since we won the title last season our record in the league is W14 D9 L12. Players aren't running as much. We've sold or haven't replaced the workers in the team. Tactics are too slow and don't put opponents under any real pressure.

An Everton win today puts them 3 points behind us after 31 games. They could realistically finish above us.

We have the scum, the chavs and villa in the last 3 games. Pump slot now and we will make the CLOriginally posted by kingfunk View PostI honestly think that we will have one more chance after this to get top four, but if we keep slot in the job then we have zero chance. If the owners want to protect their investment and not go backwards for the next few years they need to get rid now and give somebody else a go. I’d rather miss out on top four giving somebody else to go then be pretty much guaranteed to miss out with this ****e.

I think the club will keep him until the end of the season, but if they were going to act before then the international break would be the time to do it...

It looks like he's getting the full season, whatever happens.
This outcome of this end of season review is surely a formality though.

There has to be a point whereby keeping him in charge is untenable
Maybe there's not, or maybe that point is relegation or being in the bottom half of the league? That would be the case for most clubs, but surely as Liverpool, that point has to be a trophy or top 4. So if that is as unlikely as it feels, he has to go?
